Infinite Harmony Auditions

When are auditions held?

Infinite Harmony usually holds auditions twice a year, once early in the fall semester and again early in the spring. Auditions consist of 2-3 days of initial auditions, where auditionees reserve a 10 minute timeslot to showcase their individual talents. After initial auditions, selected auditionees are invited to a single day of callbacks to mimic a rehearsal, interacting with the group on a more personal level.

What should I prepare for my audition?

Sing a verse and chorus a cappella (just your vocals!) from a song of your choice*. If you need sheet music or any other reference, feel free to bring it along, our only ask is that you’re singing without background music.

*Please choose a song in English if possible

I’ve never sung acapella before, should I audition?

Absolutely! The majority of our members had never sung acapella before, with a few having no previous vocal performance experience prior to joining the group. Even if you’ve only sung in the shower, we’d love to hear what you have to show us!

What’s the time commitment of joining Infinite Harmony?

Infinite Harmony meets 3 times a week to rehearse, from 7:30pm-9:30pm on T/Thu, and 1:00-3:00pm on Sundays. Members are expected to attend nearly all rehearsals, as well as spending time practicing music outside of rehearsal.

There aren’t any audition slots, what should I do?

We also accept walk-ins on the day of auditions, feel free to stop by and we’ll try our absolute best to fit you in.
